I'm using these for mountain biking and they seem to be spot on for that purpose. The padding is in the right place and they're full finger but not too hot. The size chart indicated that I needed a large, which is the glove size I normally buy, and they fit quite well. While my fingers are long and thin, the gloves are made of a stretchy material, so someone with meatier paws should also find the fit satisfactory. I can't really comment on the durability, but if they last me a couple of seasons of riding, they'll be right up there with the other "biking" gloves that I've purchased. The touchscreen feature works OK, but it does take some pressing. I usually end up taking the glove off, but it's not a big deal for me.

I prefer these gloves to flimsier ones because they keep out the thorns and pointy rocks. I still end up tearing a hole in my right ring finger when I dig through the dirt by hand for hours, but I keep buying this same glove because others that I have tried rip much sooner during abuse in the garden. The touch screen fingertip works great until I get the gloves covered in mud, and then it's intermittent, but that's more a property of the mud than the glove. These gloves run a little small, which is perfect for me because of my small hands.

These are very sturdy yet flexible, great for the garden. Also wear them to avoid splinters handling fire wood for stove.
